FINALLY…THE ALL-DC TEAM HAS COME BACK TO OUR WEBSITE…

It’s time to get the ball rolling on the latest All-DC team. This year was quite the year as we saw a record high number of nominations which lead to a record high number of arguments when the final votes were being made. We’re not going to lie; the arguments were basically like the fight scene from Anchorman 2 except with fewer moustaches.

Just like last season, we’re starting the All-DC team with our pro style and dual threat Quarterbacks. As we saw at the weekend, a solid gunslinger is vital for any team hoping to win a championship. With that in mind, let’s move on to our pocket passing QB’s.

1st Team All-DC

Luis “Dutch” Stephenson – Stirling Clansmen

After earning a 2nd team All-DC vote last season, Dutch stepped up to the plate this season, leading the Clansmen to an 8-0 record and the highest scoring offence in the country. With 1500+ yards and 26TD’s to his name, Dutch went on record to say he’s the best QB in Great Britain, and he backed up his claim at the weekend as he guided to the Clansmen to their second national championship.

Simon George – Swansea Titans

Many people may be thinking that these votes were made after the finals weekend, but that wasn’t the case. As you may have seen all season, we’ve praised Simon every week, even to the point where it started to look like one of our writers (Tom Snee) had a man crush on Simon. With 17 passing and 5 rushing touchdowns during the regular season, Simon led his team to a 6-1 record and the number one seed in the Challenge Trophy playoffs, before guiding his team on a playoff run that would end with the Trophy championship and an MVP performance.

2nd Team All-DC

James Cunningham – Hertfordshire Hurricances
